At Responsible Resource Partnerships Inc., we believe strong projects start with strong relationships. We help resource companies, investors, and communities work together in ways that honour rights, align with international norms, and create lasting value for everyone involved. With a focus on trust, transparency, and practical standards implementation, we support the development of resource projects that are resilient, socially grounded, and built to succeed over generations.
Sarah has built her career at the intersection of people, systems, and sustainable development. With a deep commitment to inclusion, she has long believed that resilient societies and economies are built when people’s rights and wellbeing are centered in decision-making.
She began her professional life in broadcasting understanding the role of storytelling in affecting positive social change. After five years, she returned to studies to obtain a Master’s in Social Work after which she spent fifteen years working in child welfare. There, she gained firsthand insight into systemic and structural inequities that lead to the disproportionate over representation of Indigenous and Black children and youth in foster care.
Seeking to address those structural barriers to equitable socio-economic outcomes, Sarah returned to studies again to get an MBA following which she volunteered with the Anishnawbe Business Professional Association in Northern Ontario as a Communications and Advocacy Aide. Sarah is grateful to the ABPA's generosity in inviting her to ally with them and learn about various members perspectives on rights-based resource and socio-economic development.
In 2022, Sarah joined BMO Global Asset Management to lead the development of a new program to manage inequality related risks across investment portfolios. Sarah honed in on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and international human rights laws and conventions as the standard and benchmarks for driving the change we all need for a more equitable and sustainable future. She received special mention by the UN Principles for Responsible Investment in 2024 for her work.
Recognizing the expanding and urgent need for skilled and tailored approaches that build trust, uphold human and Indigenous rights, reduce conflict, and enhance project certainty, Sarah founded Responsible Resource Partnerships Inc. in 2025.

At Responsible Resource Partnerships Inc., we help companies, investors, and communities design and implement rights-respecting project frameworks that enhance certainty, reduce social risk, and strengthen long-term value. Our work supports the development of trust-based, standards-aligned partnerships, ensuring that project planning and execution meaningfully integrate Indigenous perspectives, community priorities, and international expectations for responsible development.
We also assist clients in strengthening governance, risk management, and social-performance systems, while advancing inclusive economic participation and resilient local development. With a unique blend of frontline social-impact experience, investor insight, and deep engagement with Indigenous and community partners, we help organizations place people at the centre of business activities—creating projects that are more resilient, more equitable, and positioned for sustainable value creation over the long term.
